If I understand what I've been reading for the past hour on aux.
lighting---to change over to LED is just a matter of buying LED
replacement bulbs?

Almost that simple. Turn signal and emergency flashers (stock) need a certain amount of load to operate. LEDs don't put enough load on the system. You could put resistors (load equalizers) in series with the LEDs, but that defeats the watt savings and they get hot. You could go with no load flashers, but then you loose the the self cancel. The stock flasher and the self cancel box count pulses from the speedometer. If you can figure out how to self cancel please tell me

that can fill you in on your question. At the bottom of the 1st page is a search window---type in headlight and look at the posts, One will lead you to another link written about dealing with three headlight system. You've got a birthday coming up mine is August same year.
