ok stupid question

On my 1980 xs1100, how do you remove the seat? Im having a brain fart and feel really stupid asking this.

Hey BikeNutt,

IF you don't have a USER's Manual, you can go to this thread in the Links section and D/L a copy of the 81 H/SH manual in PDF format for a quick reference.

There are long bolts under the seat near the shock bolts inside the grab rail, you need to loosen them, slide them forward so that they will clear the channel/slot, and lift it up in the back, and then slide it backwards to clear the tongue at the front that fits under the gas tank bolt.
