  • riding in the rain

I was having a real tough time riding in the rain recently . 10 years ago I did it all the time . I went out and got a new rain suit and have leather boots etc . I found the rain really hard on the face as I use an open face helmet . I remembered the strategic use of bandanas but something else was missing . I finally remembered I used to use a clear visor in the old days . I had one designed for snowmobiles that I just snapped onto my helmet when it started to rain . Well I looked everywhere and have yet to find one .I'm using a flip-up half visor to get by and it makes a big difference . Anyone remember the clear (and smoked) full-face bubble visor that was around some years back ?

I saw a whole wall of them today. In a motocross shop. And my local Honda dealer had them in smoke only.

        Visor

The flip-up half -visor works pretty good . Because you can breathe freely ,it doesnt get fogged up . I taped it on for more stability . I 've used it for about a week now trying to test it in the rain . Although rain has been forcasted every day , I have only had a few drops . Lots of lightning though . I'll have to keep trying but I think it passes the test . Whats that saying about it rains less when you have your rain gear ?
