What did someone see me at the gas station? Everytime I get gas after work I pay with the credit card at the pump. But I put the stand down. Then drive off with it down. So about 1-2 times a week.
I hate signatures. Too many cars and Bikes to list here.

I use the center stand 99.995% of the time. I have longer rear shocks, and the standard tank WILL LEAK if on a side stand. It is REALLY HARD to drive off with the center stand down.

Discovering it's down at 45 mph, starting a left turn sucks, too.

Some of us know the story, and try not to remind you. Just happy that your still on the road, with the soul of the same bike.

I said Never because the question is "how many times a week" and I have only done this once and it was on my original XS500. Once was enough for me thanks

Hey Ray. I drive by the spot quite often, and it doesn't freak me out to see it. It doesn't bother me to talk about it, and if I can help some one to remember to raise it, then it's all good.

I do this so often that I've considered putting a little sign on my speedo that says, "Sidestand."

I stopped in to see my kids swim in the club they're in and when practice was over I was getting ready to ride off as they and about 15 of their friends all came out of the pool - yes I drove off with the kickstand down - the one and only time SO FAR. Just kept my eyes ahead and left as quickly as humanly possible.

No, I have never ridden off with the side stand down. Yes, I have dismounted without putting the side stand down three times. (Four, if you count that customer's bike)

                              I cheated

I had to vote "never" but with an explanation.
My XS650 has a sidestand interlock. Put that bike in gear with the sidestand down and the engine stops. When I got my XS1100 I hung a sidecar on it so the sidestand just sits there unused. Anyone thinking of adding a sidecar, leave the sidestand on there. Take the sidecar off to access the bike's right side to work on it, you're gonna need it.
