  • cam chain, why such different prices?

I am getting ready to replace my cam chain as I am getting engine noise and the tensioner is out of adjustment. I was quickly able to find 3 places that all sell cam chains that fit my year but the prices range from $30 to $70.

I cant tell the different between the three, they all seem identical. Does anyone have a particular brand / vendor they recommend?

So far I found these three:

    Cycle Recycle
    www.partsnmore.com

Several folks have used the PNM ones, and they also sell the much needed MASTER/EXTRA LINK you'll need to put it together. There have been recent threads on this procedure, that can be done without splitting the cases, just be careful/precise!
