    NEW QUESTION

OK the engine in the bike "seems" to be running Ok but I am not sure. There's a lot of torque but she seem to lack speed.
Is 63 MPH in 4th gear at 5000 RPM normal, acceptable for this stock engine?

      Hey Rob,

That sounds about right. I get 4k rpm in 5th for 60-65mph on my Special, and IIRC it runs up to about 5K for 4th gear at that same speed! I did a little search, and TadRacer and John both mentioned the same 4k=~60mph in 5th!
