Clickey transmission?

Just put a 79 engine in my 80 special. Engine runs great, like it really only has 15,000 miles on it like the seller said.
However, at times, usually under 35mph cruising or slowing down, the transmission has that slidey clicky sound like I am shifting into gear from neutral at a stop. Anyone have similar experience? bent fork? I could use any the parts out of my 1980 because the transmission worked great.

In what gear or gears are you hearing the "slidey clicky" sounds in?

You can use the parts from your other trans in your older motor.
