Did some repairs...Down to 4 problems... I think
found 3 of the pickup coil wires in need of repair... soldered...
HELPED A LOT!!!!
also changed plugs...snipped the ends of coil wires...die electric greased connectors at both ends or NGK 90' at plugs...
Changed oil and filter, Rotella 15w40
snipped fuse holder clamps off in favor of in line holders, had a few on hand, plan to update the fuse box later, want to get running correctly first
last ride had a problem with an exhaust pipe falling off, bungee cord and guy wire did the trick for the moment, will be putting on the Harley MUFFLERS this week
and also low battery, I had the charger hooked up all week,
NOW I have 4 problems I think...
#1. lower end hesitation around 2k rpm, mostly under light accel
#2. High end, FALLOUT. won't really let me go over 5500 rpm
#3. Might be a charging issue, headlight dims when brake lights up, also if using highbeam turn signals won't blink
#4 WICKED WICKED front end BOUNCE above 70 mph
Will say that the power, is much better. Pretty smooth in 3rd & 4th gear all the way from 2000 to 5000 - 5500 rpm
Smooth @ 30 - 35 mph in 5th gear
I did manage to reach almost 80 mph after a little coaxing and a lot of highway (approx 2 miles) WOW that front end NEEDS ATTENTION, also later
I'd better explain the hesitation better, under descent acceleration it's kinda sluggish...but...if I ease back on throttle, and ease back into it...and then get after the throttle... all I'll say is, HOLD ON! SHE GOES!
Not planning on any adjustments until after I see how she runs after the mufflers are installed. I know that will bring my back pressure back in specs, and make tuning ALOT easier.
But KINDA stumped
