Well, it was another usual day in DFW. Went driving around to every police station and Jail I could find trying to get finger printed and other paper work. Anyway, in between police stations, I caught up with a few bikers. THe first one was an old man riding a HD. I was on the SF and the guy in front was riding a new Yamaha sport bike. I was in the middle and it was weird that there was a sport bike, semi sport/ cruiser, and then a cruiser all lined up in that order. Anyway we were in a tight staggered group. When we hit the freeway, the other Yammy and I took off driving a little bit faster than we should have. THere was some open road. After he left I started having some carb problems( I think) I ran through everything in my head and cant figure it out. It ran fine at a constant speed. Whenever I tried to slowly accelerate, It started cutting out on a few. THen I opened it wide open and it accelerated smoothly. THis went on for about 2 miles until I decided to hit the "choke" to see what it would do. It acted normal like it would with the choke on and when I turned it off there was no remaining problem. It ran like it did when it was new. I am leaning toward the possibility that a slide in the carb started to stick. I cant figure out why it had good power with the throttle open almost all the way. Like I said its running fine now. I am not taking this bike on the trip but I would hate to leave my Dad with bike problems when I go to the Academy

BTW: It was a safe road and I already had a speed lecture the other day. Actually I was the one giving it but I do listen to my own advice sometimes.
