  • Shorter Clutch Cable?

My bike came with aftermarket bars, so now my clutch cable is too long. If I try to re-route it, it binds too much because there's extra cable. Is there a way to safely shorten the cable, or is this something that is easily bought?

It took some work and a few trys to get it right but I rerouted the stock cables on my special that now has superbike (short) bars. I did have issues with the bike revving when I turned the bars full right but that no longer happens.
If you're on good terms with a local dealer they may let you look at their cable inventory and try several different cables. I did this when I worked at a Honda dealer and put clip-ons on my bike.
