hey guys does this look like a seat for a xs1100? the seller just knows its for a yamaha and he thinks its for a xs. i dont know what one looks like as i need one so any help would be great.

That does look like an XS seat. I'm NOT sure if it's a standard or special, though. The cover seems to be after market, so it may be a touring bucket.Ray Matteis

Those slide-bolt hold-down seat latches look right. (not one of Yamaha's best ideas).
There is the possibility that other Yammies share this dafty system (does anybody know?) and if so and if the seat is off one of them it mightn't quite fit an XS11.
So buy it & try it. If it don't fit you can find out what it does fit and re-sell. Knowing what bike the seat fits you could even make money on the deal. So what do you have to sit on right now?

Those seats were sold by Dennis Kirk back in the 80's i believe because i had one for my 80 SG.Material looked nice but very stiff and tore easily.1980 XS1100 SG
