  • I have fire on four. AT IDLE!!!!

And I don't even have to spray anything around the carb holders!

What was wrong? Hell, I don't know. I pulled the carbs (16 minutes, I went slow) and the no. 1 carb holder. The mating surface was shiny. Put a gasket in there and some high temp permatex, put it back together and vroom.

I did notice one other thing that may have contributed. There was a burr on the bottom of the intake of the no. 1 carb. I sanded it smooth.

I don't think it was anything I did. I think Succubus was holding out, waiting to give me the perfect birthday present.

    She did.

Going legal speeds? I am unfamiliar with that concept. How does that work?

I could have done it in less time if I hadn't been wearing the blindfold - and if I'd used tools beyond my Swiss army knife....

                at last

I've watched and bit my nails as you have wound your way through some real gnarly issues on this bike .... I'm really glad it's given up fighting you back. I think I've learned lots by reading about Succubus these last few months .... don't know if you are " a better writer than wrench", as you have suggested in the past ....... BUT ... it has sure been a good read and you persisted and got the job done ... wouldn't that make ya' pretty good at both? Kudos, Patrick
