Vetter Quicksilver

Has anyone had a Quicksilver fairing on a '79 XS11? If so, how effective was it, & how about appearance. I currently have a Windjammer that's cracked in a few places. The round headlight seems a little dimmer than I'd like, the Quicksilver has a smaller rectangular one, wonder if that would be brighter. Also, cost. I found one that's new in a shop by me, they want $200 for it. Sound pretty good for a new one? Thanks.

They look good and work well at keeping air blast and bugs off of you on highway trips. You will need the mounting bracket. 200.00 seems high to me. One of the vetters does not have turn signals.

This one has signals that mount to it, rather than being "built in" as the windjammers are. My bracket is already broken in 2 places, I assume the shop has those too. It seems the fairing is a little smaller, still giving protection, while not covering up too much of the bike. Why hide a thing of beauty!
