  • POD Filters

I would also like to consider eliminating the current air filter box and install POD type air filters.
Is the current air filter box actually needed to support the carbs?
Where does one get the POD filter and how much should one pay for them?
What also does one do with the other lines running to the current filter box?
Would appreciate comments from those out there who have done such a modification.

      Hi Gene.

The pods I like best are found from www.aperaceparts.com They are true K&N replicas for a lot less... $60. The cheaper ones for $40 from Partsnmore.com will give you problems. You'l have to call them to order... they aren't listed on the site.

The large tube can have a smal filter attached to it and either just draped behind the motor or fastened up under the seat as some do. I personaly think this would let any water or moisture run down the tube.. but it's your call. THere's a small vent on top of the larger tube that I just ran a few inches of the line on and left open. Maybe not the best fix, but I haven't had any problems from it yet.

      Good luck.
