vacuum control eliminator mod??

I am new to the x11 family and after buying and bringing home my new bike I have found a fuel leak coming out of the diaphram fuel control valve, is there any way to bypass this valve? I am having a hard time finding a replacment Valve.... any help would be great. Thanks for your time.

Hi, Ink.

Try using the search button at the top of the page and look for 'eliminate octopus'. This will bring up a handful of threads dealing with your issue. Use just 'octopus' for your search, and you'll get pages and pages of threads. This is a very common issue with owners of Specials.

BTW - if you edit your profile to be a bit more specific about the year and model of your XS, you may save a few false starts as you ask for help with other issues. The Standards and Specials are very similar, but there are enough critical differences that advice for one does not always help for the other.
