          Not exactly just bolt on?!

          Hey Ron,

Did you miss this recent forward controls thread ?

If you read the fine print on those "bolt ons", they don't come with the required linkages or adapters for the shift or brake levers! They are rather slick looking I'll say that!

But for what they are asking for just the foot portion, I made a complete set that also allowed you to keep your OEM controls as well!

            Have to lose

Probably have to remove your engine guards if you wanted to install these.

Just my humble opinion, but it seems to me that the controls extend too far for the size of the bolt holding them in place.
On a panic stop, I can see me bending the break foot rest as I frantically pushon the brfeak LOL

Keep your feet where they belong - - -

                  - - - and on a bike that's directly under your arse so you can stand up a little to take the sudden shock of hitting a pothole on your legs instead of your tailbone. Especially if the urge to be fashionable has driven you to hardtail a bike that used to have rear suspension. I betcha every set of aftermarket forward controls ever built were secretly subsidised by the U.S. Chiropractic association.

                    forward controls

Speaking of tcbros choppers. I have a set of their forward controls
and I also bought a "universal" set of the linkages. In retrospect I shouldn't have wasted my time, but, once the linkage issue was sorted the rest works well. I have some ideas for making their kit better one of wich includes machining a sleve around the mounting shaft that will put the shift rod and brake rod at a more acceptable angle in reference to the frame. I will post pics soon and by the way my motorcycle is for sale...

                      Barry,
I'd like to see your forward controls and ask you about your ideas how to make it better...
I'm in Modesto, which is a good ride to get to Fallon to see your bike.
BTW is your 80XS11 a G or SG or LG ?
how much are you looking to get for it?
