has anyone ever tried any other front brakes xs standards.are there any other calipers that fit like any 2 piston calipers. bill

pgg and a couple others have installed modern calipers on ther XSes. Had to make adpters tho...

May be able to find there posts usong the search feature at the top right of your screen. They had pics/discriptions too...

I did swap some modern 4 piston calipers, they'll fit if you shape a bracket to hold them(easier said than done) it's 112mm between the caliper bolts on the XS forks, the GSXR calipers I used are 90mm between bolts which seems to be common size on modern stuff, I'd doubt there'd be another caliper that will by chance fit the XS's 112mm spacing, and at the same time sit the pads at a perfect angle to match a 298mm disc.
