      John,
      Don't know what you wanted to post, but I have increased my fuel range after the swap. I can now go about 170 miles before reserve is needed on my '79. That puts me at 42 MPG for my commute from sea level, to 1,800 feet and then back down to sea level in 30 miles. I do this twice a day, once each way on my work commute. This is Highway 17 for those that know the bay area, and at 6:30 am it's not a bad commute.
      The final drive has changed my driving some, as I now drop to fourth gear on the uphill passing. I also notice I have a hard time getting above triple digits in fifth, but it will easily go past them in fourth.
