  • Pod filters w/ stacks pictorial

I finally got my new 120 mains and finally got to mount my pod filters. I mounted with the stock velocity stacks. I took some pics and thought I would share. It still needs some tuning, but the way it sounds when you crack the throttle is amazing.

That's pretty cool looking. Can they fit in the stock airbox? What about riding in the rain?

I try to avoid the rain. This did come up in another post though. I think the general consencious was to cover them with your legs.

Something I forgot to ask; anyone interested in an airbox without the stacks?

        Past Experience...

Not trying to knock your setup, but wanted to let you know I had a very similar setup on mine ... until my left petcock started leaking. The gas dripped onto the two left filters and literally melted them.

        Have a look...

        Pretty nasty huh???

Did Ken Talbot take your pics? Cause they look really nice.
In his pics I see parts that my own eyes can't see..LOL

By the way nice looking set of carbs and center caps.

I think on your cylinder fins I'd file them down and polish them. I think they would look good on your bike this way.

I've ridden in the rain with my pods on... no problems. A little moisture in the combustion is no biggie and the filters prevent huge drops from entering. In addition, the movement through the rain forces most of the water to blow on by.

I really like your blacked out motor and tranny. Did you pull everything off to do the paint or did you paint it on the bike?

Thanks for posting the pics. I like your set up!

Other than the rear dirve, I had it down to the frame.
