    I found several sources for a tachometer thanks to the internet.Will a 1979 work with an 1980.Will everything plug in?
    1980 XS1100 SG

    We kinda need to know which model you are workin on. Special (puny gas tank) or a standard (camel like gas tank).

      Sorry, didnt read the name. SG means ya have a "Special" (round tach/speedo. Should be a bolt on, plug in, and run. I just happen to have a full set of "special" gauges sitten in my box-o-parts. Go figure, I ride a standard. Are ya lookin for a set?

        The 1980 SG model has the same tacho as the 1979 SF model, part number 3H3-83540-01-00.
