  • XS1100G Back Alive Again

    Hello to all,
Got my XS finally going after a few monts of on and off tinkering. I live in Maine and my bike is in Oklahoma, long story! Bike was sitting for 12 years. Finally broke down and bought a good used rack of carbs and now all is good!! I do need a choke cable and lever or controls from a XJ as the carbs I bought are from a 82 XJ. That's minor though. I will clean her up this afternoon and test ride for a bit, But I think all is well. I did shoot out about a pound of dog food from the exhaust as I think it was home for a family of mice at one point. Thanks to all for all your help over the past few months. To John, I "got her done" Kim

Mine has been stuck since before xmas. The guy redoing my cylinder head broke his cutter guide on mine, and has been having trouble getting a new one.

I was hoping to have it ready for the Ride for Sight run, but not going to happen.

A friend has a 78 or 9 XS750 sitting in his driveway. He's had it since new, but hasn't started it in about 10 years. I keep threatening to go steal it and get it running.... It has 22000kms
    on it.

Get all that food out of there, it will smell really bad after a bit. One of my freinds bought a Goldwing from a farmer once, the fairing was full of pet food, and after a while it reeked so bad I had to follow at LEAST a block behind while he rode it to the car wash!
