  • problems with the baby...

everything is going really well since replacing the carb boots.....untill yesterday. the bike runs really well the first 10 minutes, but after that, when i give it gas, it is really hesitant, and acts like it is not getting gas, untill i hit 3000rpms, then it cathes and take right off as it should. the when i let it idle down and it hits 3000rpms on the way down it backfires.......any ideas? battery, bad gas....like i said it only seems to be doing it afetr running for a few minutes, before that it is fine......help... thanks. -Joe

Back firing is usually a sign that the bike is running rich. Unburned gases ignite in the exhaust system. However if you have not checked the pick ups yet do that first before checking the jetting.
