  • Best fuel tank sealer?

I'm attempting to get my Standard tank cleaned up so I can mount it on my Special. Have any XSsives used different brands of tank cleaner/prep kits? If so, what would you recommend? Thanks!

        What frogdink said.
This stuff is supposed to be alcohol resistant.

U.S. STANDARD FUEL TANK SEALER? was formulated and developed in our own laboratories due to the demand for a high-tech sealer impervious to all fuels, including the new Stage II fuels which have a high alcohol content. It has superior strength and fuel resistance, and does not contain Methyl Ethyl Ketone, a highly flammable and deadly carcinogen (cancer-causing). U.S. STANDARD FUEL TANK SEALER? is non-flammable and is environmentally safe

I've had XSellent results with CASWELLS .
I've used in in a couple of tanks that were quite rusty.

I used that Kreem stuff. worked ok for me, didn't seal all the leaks but I suppose there could be some operator error involved . Have a nice day and ride safe.

We just used teh Kreem system on a CB900C, haven't put it back on the bke to see if it worked yet. It was supposed to take 24hrs to cure, but it was still soft, so we decided to leave it until Friday, just to be sure.

The frame and suspension on my Monte are all done in POR 15. It is a rock hard coating, but you have to prep the surface really well for it to stick. Just follow the instructions carefully.

The Kreem has been holding in the CB900 for 3 weeks now. Seems to be working as advertised. THis tank leaked all over, before, from the seams.

                      Listen to cajun31.

The radiator shop is the best place to go. Here in Bowling Green they charge 40.00 to clean and reline. They also give a 20 year warranty. Good Luck!
