    Good...

    This site and all the XS experts here makes life easy. Thanks guys, I was looking at the head gasket and I couldn't see where there would be room for anything else in the area pictured in the manual. The head gasket covered the complete area around the chain cavity. I think a little permatex or yamabond in that area is the best idea.

      Running again

      I got it back together tonight and test ran it. Runs good again. Tomorrow I will do the pressure wash so I can see leaks then ride again and hope there is no more leaks.
