different carbs for the XS?

Howdy all,
Im struggling to get my carbs working right and have read most all the threads here on the subject.
I am curious if anyone has looked into more modern carbs off another model bike? Maybe FZR1000 or FJ1200 carbs?

I am a new owner of an79 xs11 and was very happy to find the site.

Maximan has put a set of FJ1100 on his XJ11, and he says they bolt right up. The carb spacing is the same as the XS, so I would dare to say that the FJ1200 carbs would fit too?

XS carbs once set up normally have few issues and work well.

So what's up with yours.
4 into one exhaust, any other mods?

good info on the FJ carbs... thanks.

I just went into the carbs again and found my floats were off. Replaced all my main jets with new and running much better.

thanks, I have the full vetter set match painted, just putting it all on today.

Mods are just the 4 into 1 and a K&N filter.
