Yup. Engine mounting holes are identical for all XS11's, at least in the States, and that's how crash bars are typically mounted.

      Thanks Snow.

You guys are the best for info on these things. The dealer didn't have a clue but I was probally talking to someone younger than the bike.

Heh heh - yeah, you often get strange looks or just plain wrong answers going to a dealer unless they have techs from the old days... There is always someone here that knows the answer it seems.

I am older than my bikes....but not by much

Please excuse the thread hijack, but I have to comment on the dealer experience.

I'm looking for new bars for my XS because the buckhorns are slightly bent and I'd like to get something a little more comfortable. I've checked out Mike's XS but thought I'd check out the local shop to see if I can avoid waiting for the shipping and compare prices. So I ask, "Do you carry handlebars." The sales guy goes, "Nah, too many different types to carry. We can order 'em for ya. And you gotta be careful about something like that to make sure all your controls fit." Duh. Real discouraging. As if I wouldn't consider that before starting the project. This was after I had asked for an XS mirror and he gives me one labled VX.

Yeah, it's real hit or miss, but mostly miss... kinda like asking a college kid (technically I still am one...grrr...) to use a sliderule.
