Rich or Lean best way to accomplish

Ok on 80 81 series carbs "stock setup" whats the easiest and best way to richen up your bike , adjust floats, larger jets thin washers under jet needles,adjust mixtures screws? It idles great starts cold great and will shift every gear redline except 5th cos I aint got the Kahuna's to do that, actually runs very well
any suggestions Idea? or just dont worry about it,and if the anwer is floats and Im set at 23mm which way do I go to richen up
24 mm or 22mm
I have checked for vacum and exhaust leaks none that I can find and replaced exhaust gaskets and intake gaskets.

What makes you think you are running lean?? White plugs? Are you running modded intake or exhaust??

The Cheapest is to raise the floats(right side up) or lower them..
upside down, so you would want 22 mm vs. your present 23mm. This will richen both pilot and main circuits.

Have you done the throttle chop method with new plugs to check your status? As has been posted, with newer fuels, can be difficult to gauge with insulator. Should go by the base metal ring, if black and sooty....too rich.

Yeah white tipped plugs more on #2 Stock exept from where I drilled the stupid baffles 4 holes size about a pencil in each baffel
have not dont the throttle chop method, rear tire is down to the cords so kinda scared to really lay into it 75 was fast as I wanted to go now I'm just going to wait, Been waitng for American Tire to send me the Elite 2s since begining of March, they tell me that they waiting for Dunlop to get my rear tire
I was just curious on the best way to richen up without over flowing my carbs and filling my aircleaner
1 mm should not make too much of diffrence I'll have to get the tires and do the throttle chop method
