    oil on head fins?

I just did a 100 mile ride and when I got home I noticed a good amount of what appears to be oil. It looks like it starts at the #1 cyl. exhaust. I have an aftermarket exhaust and it was a pain in the butt to put on. Could I have cracked the aluminum case and is there an oil passage there to leak? The bike still runs great with no miss, just that oil stain. It is also right where the gasket is.

off topic... I started on my 79 bobber... going for XSively ugly.

Did you just replace the head gasket? Or do a big bore kit?

If so tighten the head bolts to 25+ Ft-Lbs.

If no double check your cam chain tensioner and valve cover gasket. These are the two most likely sources for leaking.

I find the valve cover is usually the leak. On mine, the front corner was about 1/4 turn loose, and I have oil leaking. It all shows on the fins, although is is from above.
