    I parked the BC last night and he was running fine. I tried to start him to roll him back in the garage, no spark on any cylinder. Any suggestions? It's a 79, but I looked for the "Secret Fuse" any how. Nope.

    My only supposition is that the Ballast resistor went out on me. The battery seems fine, voltage at cranking is 11.5Vdc. All fuses (that I can find) are good.

    Troubleshooting tips?

    The resistor wold not cause a no start condition. It is only in use when the engine is running, not when it's cranking. Check the obvious, kill switch, ignition fuse (with a meter or test light) and the red/yellow wire that supplies power to the TCI. If it cranks, then the main fuse is good. Also check the red/white wire that supplies the ignition coils under the fuel tank.

      I have 12V at the TCI R/Y wire. 12 volts on both of the coil R/W wires. Grounds are good. How does one troubleshoot a TCI other than get a known good one?

        Gremlins - Turns out that the ground cable to the battery was loose. Thus when I cranked the engine the TCI voltage was dropping to 9.5. Not enough. Tightened up the Ground and charged the battery. Started with a backfire and scared the %@& of me. Then I had no head lights and guage lights. I had a small problem with the throttle cable running up the revs when turned to the right (never mess with the right side control LOL) and when I tugged on it, the lights came back on.
