shock cylender

i have re built a 82 xj 1100 the only thing left are the shocks.
they are to pitted to re chrome. i have looked almost everywhere
i can't find any.
does any one know if i can use a replacement fron another bike.
i am so close to finishing
also what is the length and diameter of the chrome cylender

You can use regular shocks from an XS11, or buy some aftermarket shock for it. They don't have to be air shocks. Just specify 12 1/2 inches from eye to eye.
