    Thanks!

    Hello 81
Thanks for all the info on this great mod.The detail is much appreciated. I've put it on the to-do list for the "resurrection". For now I'm running a re routed cable and 10mm longer arm under the cover.
    Regards,

Has anyone tried using a Ducati slave cylinder? Its significantly smaller overall I think. I should have one showing up in a few days to add a hydraulic clutch to my FZR, so Ill check.

Is anyone making the adapter plates or able to make one? I dont have access to my machines right now and cant make one, but Ive got a 16x18 Brembo radial clutch MC off an Aprilia and 10 feet of steel braided hose just sitting here staring at me. I got the MC for $35 shipped from UK ebay. Its just like the one I got for my FZR, but with a Pazzo lever.

The Thunderace mentioned earlier is the 95-98 YZF1000(not R1) and has a hydro clutch. So does the FZR1000 and YZF750. I have found a few YZF750 master cylinders on UK ebay for just a few dollars. Ive bought 2 for under $20 shipped, and they are better MCs than the older style coffin cups you guys are using, but does require mounting the oil cup. Ducati and Aprilia use Brembo MCs and I have started finding brembo radial MCs for cheap lately.

This weekend I changed out both my front masters after a horrible leak from the vmax brake master sight glass. Anyways, I really liked the looks of the '99-'00 Nissin masters that were installed on a lot of different bikes, especially Honda's. I put a CBR600 F4 master for the brakes (5/8 bore), and a VFR800 clutch master, both of which look identical. The VFR master must have a smaller (thanks, Geezer) bore than the vmax did, because the clutch lever is now feather light. It feels amazing! The other plus, is that both the masters are designed to use levers with built in adjustment. So, unlike before, I can now adjust my clutch to have just the right amout of action. This was the one thing I wasn't happy with before.
I've been looking into doing this and the VFR800 clutch master doesn't have a mirror mount, where/how did you mount the mirror? Sweet write-up.

I uses bar end mirrors. I like the look and they give more view behind you. The only downside to them is that they aren't in your riding field of view, so you don't really see things while looking ahead at the road. You have to glance over to them. After all this time I will still say it. I LOVE THIS MOD.

I bought a used Honda master cylinder from V45 Saber that I plan to use. It has the mirror mount and looks very similar to the Mike's XS brake master cylinder I have on the other side. Until I got this, I was planning to use FJ1100 master cylinders and bar end mirrors too...

I still need to get the plumbing sorted out by spring...
