  • How long does the U joint last?

Today I took my rear end apart to lube the swingarm bearings. My drive shaft boot is intact and the joint moves smoothly with no play and it still has shiney black paint. The U joint looks like it just came out of the box. I just put it all back together and left lubing the joint for another day. How long does these things last? My bike has 22K miles on it.

I have over 100k miles on my bike with no signs of U joint wear. They almost seem indestructable.

No they last MILES, NOT years!! I've got over 80K on mine, and they still seem to be good. I may be looking for a newer one, as I put on about 20K a year on the bike.
