    RH model

    Gudday Polly,

The RH model was only sold in Oceania (read this as being Australia) so you may not have any luck outside of Australia.

I've not seen a parts listing for the RH, however, I know it looks very, very like the 5K7 ('Sport') model which was sold in the UK at the same time.

I'd use the 5K7 as a template and try to find out what differences there are between the RH and 5K7 models.

There's a guide to models, photographs, part numbers and part microfiche for the 5K7 model at XS Part Number Finder

    RH model (I think)

    5K7 model (for sure)

      81 XS1100RH

Gudday Lamric. Thanks for your pictures and information. The bike you show looks very much like my xs1100rh except for the fairing which my fairing it totally fixed to the frame and from the handlebars to below the engine. The handle bars turn without the fairing moving, if you can understand what im trying to say. I will have to post pictures of the bike and fairing as it is, not finished and see what you think. Regards polly.

Gudday Lamric. Sort of but not really. Im wondering if my bike has been fitted with some aftermarket fairing at some stage. Even though the fairing and bike are not yet completed i will send some pictures and we will see what you think. I might need some advice on sending pictures to this link as im new to all this and the pictures might not come through. Might have to get the missus to send pictures for me. Ill stick to the mechanics. CHEERS POLLY

Polly, bog standard 1980 Specials for me, SG (Special) and LG (Midnight Special) models. Great thing is that I can swap most parts between them so I manage to keep at least one on the road at all times.

Hey Polly that bike looks identical to my 82' XS1100R here in Australia, (with out the fairing). curved spokes, slotted B/disc's, round gauges. Mine is a 5N5 model.

The Fairing on yours looks cool....make sure you keep us up to date, looking forward to seeing it all painted.

-I just love the look on their faces when you leave them standing in the dust after they've lined you up on your XS.

                          XS110RH

Hi Guys and thanks for your reply. First up Lamric i will have a look around at pictures of the 80 special and the midnight specials. Im sure that a mates mate i know had a midnight special that was a 750cc, but i could be wrong, and i know that it was a beautiful bike. Then again all xs;s are beautiful. As is Goldcoastguys. Really like the colour scheme. Anyway having some interest in my xs has got me keen to get of my but and finish it. Hanging to go for a ride. It used to go rather hard and now the motors been rebuilt with an oversize bore kit. Guess ill find out how good it goes soon. Regards Polly. Will keep in touch.......

Hi Polly! That fairing looked familiar so I had a squizz around the bikespecs site and it looks like a very close copy of the Suzuki (gulp!) GSX1100EFE unit. http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/Gal...084%20%201.jpg

                              Great detective work there

I also really like that fairing and have been wondering what it may be. That bike is going to look great when it is ready..

                              Good luck with it.
