    just thought i would ask but is there anywere in the usa that you lads have used for getting black chrome work redone.....

    If I'm not mistaken there is no such thing as "black" chrome. There are however very tough ceramic based coatings that look very nice. It is usually a power coating process using high gloss black ceramic based paints that are high heat and highly buff-able. the shop that did my bike frame can do exhaust pipes in any color with this stuff and once applied the coating can be buffed up as shinny as chrome
