Ok....long story ....maybe...I don't actually own a bike, my boyfriend does. He's not mechanical, I am...so I get to play mechanic...His XS1100 stopped starting. Getting spark, has new fuel. Can't be the cold plug thing you were discussing in an earlier thread. It was in the 120's when it decided it didn't want to run...any other ideas? Also, if anyone is in So CAl (preferably Riverside County) do you know a reputable shop that can work on this? Thanks for any help!!!

Check out Troubleshooting a bike that will crank but won't start.

If you're not sure which model of XS it is, look at Serial Number & Model Identification

        Will it start - NO!

        Blondie,

Similar problem as 'roundogg' by the by the sounds of it - see the thread - 'running-not now' if Mikes link to the tip section doesn't work.

        Best of luck

I'm just a n00b around here, but that almost sounds like coil related problems

I had the coils tested and they are fine...
I'll check out the other thread, thanks for the responses.
