hey all, it's me again :}, does anyone know where i can order a new starter for my 1980 xs1100g ?? mines startin to squeal pretty bad...also would like to purchase 2 new coil packs with wires...thanks all....m.r.

The entire starter motor is discontinued by Yamaha, but you can still get brushes for it, check out BikeBandit.com.
You'll need to be a bit more specific, which COILS??
The main high tension ignition coils, with spark plug wires, OR...
the Pick Up Coil assembly?? Again, for the PU coils, check BikeBandit!

The squeal from the starter could be from the starter clutch. What type of oil are you using?Comment
