    My stator is at a local electric motor company. They are in the process of rewinding it. They have done some bike stators and said it was no big deal...just a little extra work figuring it out.

        If they can increase the # of windings over stock then wouldn't that increase the output of the charging system?

          Actually they told me if you increase wire size it will do same. But it's still limit to coil diameter and original design of the coil.
