    gauge needle?

    What is the best way to get the needle off of the shaft inside the gauge?

    I remember someone used a metal fork from the kitchen. Put the shaft between a pair of tines, and gently pry or pull up.

      I tried that but it wouldn't come off. maby I didin't pull hard enough.
