  • Single carb conversion.

OK, I'm retired and so I have all the time in the world to fight with the 4 indifferently designed carbs that Yamaha has blessed me with, but still I hate doing it. Well, thinking is cheap and you can do it as you ride, too. How about dumping those 4 nuiscances, welding up a 4 into 1 manifold that plugs into the 4 rubber things and sticking ONE aftermarket roundslide on the end? Dumping that knucklebusting pest of an airbox and moving the battery to a pannier bag will give you all the room in the world to do the thing. Thoughts, anyone?

If I remember from the last time this came up, you'll suffer a large loss in power.
