Maybe a dumb question

[XJ1100]

Hey guys, this may seem like a dumb question...

All the white lettering on my guages, light controls, horn, starter, etc. are fading away.

Can anything be done to bring them back? Decals? Replacement guage face?

I know this sounds trivial, but it bugs me! I want my bike to be perfect dammit!! Kidding...

Thanks for any/all advice.

FYI, this is for an 82 XJ1100..

There was a thread on that topic last March XJ1100, if you do a search under decals and scroll down you will see a thread about switch gear labels....should lead you to an answer....someone was making them on an XS650 site for sale.

Hi Dave,
these days it should be easy for some computer-savvy person to draw up a new instrument face in whatever style or colour combination you fancy and get it made in peel'n'stick vinyl. As with putting back the teensy screws that hold the face on when they vibrate loose, the difficult part is getting the gauge rim & glass off to do the job.
