  • HAHAHAHA I laugh at you my carbs

OK that was a weird Title. Anyway. I finally got to the finish point on my Dad's 79F. It runs great. (soo far) I finished all of the fairing wiring and lots of electrical stuff on the bike. Adjusted the valves and changed the fork seals. Ohh yeah I changed the oil too. To the Question:
After I had done all of this and the bike was sounding sooo great, I started to put the tank on. I always put the fuel lines on before I put the carbs on to make it easier. Well, I got everything hooked up and set the right petcock to prime. What do you know, lots of gas started flowing out of the fuel inlet on the carbs for 3and4. I thought it was a sucky hose but the fitting was moving around quite a bit, not just sliding side to side. I looks like it may even be a fractured fitting. Where do we get these? I saw a link to some nice (cheap) ones but I cant rember where or when. THanks guys.
some times I just know this bike is just playing with me.

Other than a set of used carbs, you can get a new, brass T fitting from motorcyclecarbs.com. Kinda pricy though, around $40. It has been said here that you can strip the rubber off the T fitting, and use O rings in it's place. Take a carb, and the stripped T fitting to Wesley Seals and see if he can fix you up.
