Tod, the pipes shouldn't turn blue for any reason. They are stock pipes, and should be double wall. Most aftermarket pipes are single wal, and that is why they blue.

Yeah mine too. At least I know what turned mine blue. My intake boots were cracked for the first couple hundred miles I put on my bike. I was an idiot and did not relize that they were turning blue.United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY

Just looking at that picture.... Even with the bug guts smeared on the side cover and the oily dirty spot around the valve cover gasket... this motor sure looks better than that last one did! lol.. BUT... it is the same head and cylinders in both pics.

Yup...
It's a frame I made up with some scrap angle iron and cold rolled steel I found at a bridge construction project I was at. It's "Southern Engineered" but it works.. lol. It is also bolted to the frame in front where my horns used to be. One of those.. " Horn broke.. watch for finger" type things! lol.

Naw... not really. They always look better in the pictures. Those pipes have some rusty spots on them.. the paint is coming off the fins a bit.. etc. But it does look better than before! lol. When I see Hippy Dave's bike, and you'll see Bohn's bike... some people get inspired like Kat and Hobbyman. I just shake my head and say "Why even try?" lol.. I ride mine daily and it will NEVER look like theirs... I just try to keep it from looking like a rust-bucket.

Who you callin inspired? I was inspired for a few days. I was purged of that on my Dad's valve cover. You got to leave the rest of that up to Kat.
