He considers pulling carbs a lot of work... yet he disassembles TCI's and messes with resistors and diodes and such.
My electronic aptitude is still of the vacuum tube era.

I was lucky, found another xj1100 and the owner was so kind to lend me his tci, and indeed the cdi is the reason it does not rev above 2000 rpm... back to the drawing board.... nobody got a spare?
