  • Accel Coils

I sold my Honda CB1000C, so after my wife took her share, I have a little left to spend on my XS1100G.

I was thinking about getting some Accel Coils for the XS1100. Does anyone have any thoughts on this purchase?

    Thanks,

I have some sort of aftermarket coils, I don't know what kind, they're yellow. I made new wires using some 60kv high voltage wire that I have @ the office. I got no complaints, I do like the face that you can snap the wires on and off like on a car. (my coils have the same ends on the output as a sparkplug. they work, that is probably the one place I haven't had any real issues with this machine. the wires shorted out once in the rain but that wasn't the coils fault. have a nice day and ride safe

I'm running Accels on the Falcon. They're nice because they don't have captive wires. or compression fittings for the wire. But, more $$$, more of a hassle to mount, yet a sweet yellow color and a b****in' Accel sticker to put on the tool box. If budget factors in, I'd get the MikesXS coils and a new K&N filter.

Dynas are pretty sweet too, don't require the weird mounting, are a bit cheaper, and they offer a mini coil that looks pretty cool.
