    vac plugs plugged?

    Hi yah,
When using gravity feed petcocks for the carbs I'm assuming it is necessary to block the vac lines to the carb or at the carb vac inlets? long day...........................................
    thanks,

    Hey Rik,

Yes, the vacuum ports on the intake boots will need to be capped off since their vacuum is not needed for the petcocks anymore!

Just don't cap off the Vent tubes on the carb bodies themselves!

79 BS34 carbs have one set of vents, not to be pluged except into the air box. Petcock vac lines exit the petcock towards the front of bike and should be attached to intake manifold boots. One port on each boot. Other two ports not used and should be capped off. There is one other port on the #2 carb which is for the vac advance hose.

        OK....
So that means you've put a set of aftermarket petcocks on your bike?
