Carb Manifolds

Ok, Here is a question for all the pros out there!

I was wondering if it was ok to use RTV High Temp form-a-gasket material on the carb manifolds? I know that the head gets pretty hot, I am looking to really be sure that the seal between the hard rubber boots and the alum. head was tight! I have inspected my boots and they do not have any holes in them (other than cosmetic exterior cracks of course) Also I dont want to throw out the $80 for a new set when its not needed.

Should work fine, I just used Yama-Bond on mine and had no problems, any high-temp stuff will take the heat.
