Does anyone know if these carbs actually perform better than later carbs? Or, is it just that they are more tunable? Was thinking about putting some on my '81. Anyone done this swap? Were the results noticable?

I've had all 4 on my bike,78, 79, 80, 81, several of each, can't tell any diff by the seat of my pants. Never been on a dyno or at the drag strip.79 F full cruiser, stainless brake lines, spade fuses, Accel coils, modded air box w/larger velocity stacks, 750 FD.
