    Ford & Robertson, that is.
If that pair of gentlemen hadn't been too stiffnecked & stubborn to set up an agreement that would allow Ford to use Robertson-headed fasteners, Ford would not have gone to Phillips-heads instead.
It can be extrapolated that the world-wide use of Phillips-head fasteners that followed Ford's use of them would not have occurred, they'd have used Robertsons instead.
It can be further extrapolated that if that had been so, my carb rack would be held together by re-usable Robertson screws instead of the cratered-out Phillips screws that took me most of yesterday to take out & dispose of and most of this morning to go to Bolt Supply House and buy $10sworth of Allen screws to replace the bastards.

I would have to agree. The phillips and standard blade screws were not the result of TOO much thinking. You think you got it bad, damn near every 6mm bolt on an old kz is philips

          Well gee Guys,
"It can be further extrapolated." has a touch more class than "annanotherthing" right?
Forgive me all to hell for trying to upgrade the language usage on this list.
