fork springs

A while ago i bought progressive fork springs,
the springs i pulled out of the bike are much thicker,
possibly the heavy duty type that yamaha had sold,
any ideas which would b the better pick of the 2?

not from experience but I recall reading a post that indicated the Progressive fork springs were equivalent to the 'heavy duty' Yamaha fork springs for the standard model.

I would definitely choose a new set of Progressives over 25+ year old factory 'heavy duty' springs. Hopefully this winter, I will be upgrading to the Progressive springs on my Special.

I agree with Brian, I have progessives in mine and works well..

I've had both. The Progressives were far better...they are progressively wound and simply handle better.
