Hey Folks, I have decided to design the rest of the Bolt-on Chaindrive Kit based on the ZRX1100 swingarm. You can even use your stock shocks. I have two in the works right now and will also make a few more of the custom pivot shafts and spacers if anyone is interested and wants to start hunting the bay for their swingarm. It needs to look like this, there are two versions, this one and the ZRX1200 which is easily identified by the double frame ribbing. From everything I read on that swingarm, it is longer by an inch and the rear wheel spacers are different. It CAN be done, But the spacers on the swingarm need to be cut different. I just got an ENTIRE ZRX1100 rear end (tire too!)for less than $500.........I have to charge $160 for the parts needed to bolt it on if you only need the swingarm spacers. It's time to bring this project design to a close. Just PM if interested....chop

HEY SCAPPOD, EMPTY YOUR MAIL. WHAT'S THE STOCK XS11 SWINGARM CENTER PIVOT TO SHOCK HOLE DISTANCE? THE AMOUNT OF REAR LOWERING DEPENDS ON THE GEOMETRY. I GUESS ABOUT 1.5 TO 2 INCHES LOWER, SO IF YOU INSTALL THE ZRX FRONT WHEEL, YOU WILL BE LEVEL AGAIN, AND looooooowwww

The xs650 rear wheel would be easier, it's already chain driven. You can even get those widened for about $150...just change the bearing I.D. and rear spacers, easy enough.

OK ... stupid question. Dose anyone know if the 650 rear wheel the same DIA as the 11?
Would the sprocket have to be changed out for something with a different tooth count or be a stronger type sprocket?
Rob
the xs 650 rear wheel is the same diameter as my special rear. To answer the other half of your question I don't think the sprocket would need changing
Hey Rob, The sprocket that you need for your chaindrive housing IS ACTUALLY A XS650 sprocket from Sprocket specialists. I actually happen to have one and I think it is a 520 13T so would bolt on.....

I bought the 520 13t and realized I needed a 530 to match the Triumph rear sprocket. So I have a brand new extra if you need it....they all run 25 bucks from SS. The deal with the xs650 rear sprocket is you have a lot of aftermarket stuff and teeth #s also....

I have to get the rest of the rear end, wheel, sprocket, cush drive, spacers, caliper, hanger and torque bar from the guy I got the swingarm from. I don't think he packaged it up before the Easter weekend....I have worked on the swingarm bolt design and it looks like I will have to use the same diameter rod (25mm) that I used on the Triumph swingarm because I have tried everywhere to find a roller bearing that is 28x42 to accomodate the 27.8mm shaft that needs to be spun for the stock zrx needle bearings. However, there are lots of diff bearing in 25x42 size, so they will all 3 have to be switched out. After that, then the rear shock spacers have to be looked into, And I need the rest of my rear end before that.....

Is it possible to use teflon or Brass as a collar in the stead of that roller bearing? or are you thinking of machining a 25mm shaft to go all the way through?
Lemme know if I can help
